VHS Collage Series
My latest series of mixed-media collages transforms VHS tapes into art. Video rental stores and VHS tapes were an essential part of my teenage years — a relic from a bygone era whose nostalgic quality continues to fascinate me.
For each tape, I use paper from old and new magazines to give it a unique, individual appearance. The fixed dimensions of the tapes provide a creative framework, which I use as an opportunity to explore the tension between limitation and artistic freedom.
The twist: each VHS tape can be freely combined with others, creating ever-changing, inspiring new compositions.
Prices starting at €150 per VHS tape.
For multiple pieces, prices are negotiable depending on the number and arrangement (framing not included).
